How to start a shared photo library in iPad

If you want to share photos and videos with up to five friends or family members, you can use iCloud Shared Photo Library in the Photos app on your iPad. With this feature, everyone can add, edit, and caption photos, and enjoy the shared photos in their memories, featured photos, and Photos widget.

To get started with iCloud Shared Photo Library, all members need to have iOS 16.1, iPadOS 16.1, or macOS Ventura installed on their devices, with iCloud Photos turned on. To turn on iCloud Photos, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos, then turn on “Sync this iPad.”

Once everyone has iCloud Photos turned on, simply open the Photos app on your iPad, and tap on the “Shared” tab at the bottom of the screen. Then, tap on “Shared Library” to get started with creating a new shared album.

From there, you can invite up to five friends or family members to join the shared album, and they will be able to view and add photos and videos to it. All members can also like and comment on each other’s photos and videos.

Using iCloud Shared Photo Library is a great way to keep in touch with loved ones and share special memories together.
