How to Change your iPad name using iTunes

If you want to change the device name of your iPad from the default ‘”iPad.” Follow the steps below.


1. Launch iTunes and then connect your device to your computer.
2. On the left hand side of iTunes, Double-click your iPad in the Devices list. iTunes will now form a text box around the name.
3. Enter the name you wish to give your iPad. You can enter a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.
4. Press Return or Enter to save your new name.
iTunes will now connect to your iPad and change the name on your iPad. This ensures that if you connect your iPad to another computer it will retain your changes.
