FlipBoard for iPad: Social Magazine app

The Flipboard app by Flipboard Inc. provides a great vision on how social media and news can be shared on the iPad. It smoothly integrates Facebook, Twitter, and RSS news feeds to a user interface that is mere perfection. Flipboard pulls RSS information and allows you to read it seamlessly on their application.
Flipboard has received many awards including TIME magazine’s Top 50 innovations of 2010 and Apple’s iPad app of the year. It is described as your personal magazine that tailors to your interests.
Flipboard’s user interface is organized in three by three grid boxes. The app is intuitive and easy to use where you can beautifully flip through all forms of information from news, photo’s, videos, and updates from your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Instragram, and Google reader. The main portion of the app can be fully customizable and is similar to that of the iPad’s interface where RSS feed boxes can be deleted and arranged much like deleting and changing icons for your apps on the iPad home screen.
Keep in mind that this is not just a reader application. Flipboard allows you to seamlessly post content through its interface. You can leave status’s to your Facebook and tweet to your Twitter. The app allows you to use the full capabilities of these prime social media tools.
Accessing Twitter and Facebook on Flipboard is great where your timeline/newsfeed appears to the right while you view news from your friends or people you follow on the left and center columns.
This app is available for free on the app store.
